Highlights of the Collection
This manuscript is a version of the Sutra of Perfect
Enlightenment, a Buddhist text whose translation into
Chinese during the Tang Dynasty (618-907) is known
for its overriding influence on Zen Buddhism.
The 12-chapter text revolves around Buddha’s Louvre Abu Dhabi
preaching of the Law of Perfect Enlightenment to
Manjusri and eleven other bodhisattvas.
