A type of traditional kettle used in Russia and
throughout Central Europe, this samovar was made
Highlights of the Collection by the goldsmith Joseph Holi from a drawing by

Josef Hoffmann. The purity of its understated lines is
counterbalanced by the volume of the tripod, the rich
black of its ebony handles, and the checked pattern of
colours that give life to its projecting parts.
